Abstract

Learning facilities are one of the factors supporting the success of education. However, the availability of learning facilities is not meaningful if the learning facilities are not utilized optimally. Therefore, the utilization of learning facilities is one of the determinants of educational success. To improve the effectiveness of learning, the work ethic of teachers is also another important factor. That is the background on which this research is based.


This study aims: (1) To know and analyze the contribution of the utilization of learning facilities to the effectiveness of learning in MIN Neglasari Ciamis. (2) To know and analyze the contribution of teacher work ethos to the effectiveness of learning at MIN Neglasari Ciamis. (3) To know and analyze the contribution of utilization of learning facilities and work ethic of teachers together to the effectiveness of learning at MIN Neglasari Ciamis.


This study uses a quantitative approach. The research method used is descriptive-correlational method, namely descriptive research that aims to determine the magnitude of the relationship between variables. The data were collected by interviews, questionnaires, and observations. Data were analyzed statistically to yield research conclusions.


The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, the utilization of learning facilities contribute significantly to the effectiveness of learning in MIN Neglasari. The better the utilization of learning facilities, the learning process will be more effective. This conclusion is obtained based on correlation test results that produce correlation coefficient of 0.71 (very high correlation or very strong). Second, teacher work ethos contribute significantly to the effectiveness of learning at MIN Neglasari. The higher the work ethos of teachers, the learning process will be more effective. This conclusion is obtained based on the correlation test resulting in correlation coefficient of 0.688 (correlation strong or high). Third, the utilization of learning facilities and work ethos of teachers together contribute to the effectiveness of learning in MIN Neglasari. The more optimal the utilization of learning facilities and the higher the work ethic of teachers, the learning process will be more effective. This conclusion is obtained after a double correlation test that results in a correlation coefficient of 0.714 (very high or very strong correlation). This result also shows that the utilization of learning facilities and work ethic of teachers together contributes 51% to the effectiveness of learning in MIN Neglasari Ciamis
