PENGEMBANGAN KURIKULUM PENDIDIKAN MA’HAD ‘ALY (Studi di Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Huda Manonjaya Kabupaten Tasikmalaya)

Abstract

Ma'had 'aly is an Islamic religious higher education unit organized by pesantren to produce experts in Islamic religious studies with particularities in certain scientific fields based on classical books and can issue academic degrees. Regarding ma'had 'aly, at the Miftahul Huda Pesantren Manonjaya Tasikmalaya, there is ma'had 'aly. The study of Ma'had 'Aly Miftahul Huda Manonjaya Tasikmalaya is unique because Ma'had 'Aly Miftahul Huda Manonjaya, Tasikmalaya since its inception on October 30, 1980, has implemented the curriculum in an almost perfect form of learning, even the first graduates totaling 60 people succeeded in establishing pesantren in their respective areas. One aspect that needs to be reviewed from this success is the curriculum aspect, because the curriculum is a determining direction that must be passed by every student in the ma’had ‘aly which determines the competencies he has after graduation, and is a determinant of the quality of education at the educational institution concerned. Based on the above background, the main objectives of this study are: 1) To analyze the planning of the ma'had 'aly education curriculum at Miftahul Huda Pesantren, Manonjaya, Tasikmalaya?; 2) To analyze the implementation of the ma'had 'aly education curriculum at Miftahul Huda Pesantren, Manonjaya, Tasikmalaya; 3) To analyze the evaluation of the ma'had 'aly education curriculum at Miftahul Huda Miftahul Huda Pesantren, Manonjaya, Tasikmalaya; and 4) To analyze the factors supporting and inhibiting the development of the ma'had 'aly education curriculum at the Miftahul Huda Pesantren, Manonjaya, Tasikmalaya.This research method is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed by reviewing, reducing data, making units, categorizing, checking the validity of the data, and interpreting the data.The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1) Planning of the ma'had 'aly education curriculum at Miftahul Huda Pesantren, Manonjaya, Tasikmalaya includes planning contained in Ma'had 'Aly's vision, mission, and goals, Semester Lesson Plans and teaching materials, planning implementation of learning and learning evaluation planning; 2) Implementation of the ma'had 'aly education curriculum at Miftahul Huda Pesantren, Manonjaya, Tasikmalaya includes the implementation of learning objectives, learning methods, learning materials, learning activities and learning evaluations; 3) Evaluation of the ma'had 'aly education curriculum at Miftahul Huda Miftahul Huda Pesantren, Manonjaya, Tasikmalaya was carried out by touching the cognitive, affective domains, in the form of written tests and oral tests; and 4) Supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing the Ma'had 'Aly education curriculum at evaluation of the ma'had 'aly education curriculum at Miftahul Huda Miftahul Huda Pesantren, Manonjaya, Tasikmalaya, namely, first, the supporting factors are: a) An integrated education curriculum; b) Assistance from the government in the form of teaching staff; c) The existence of adequate facilities and infrastructure; d) good interaction between masyayikh, muhadhir, and mahasantri; e) the role of the kyai who has high knowledge. Second, the inhibiting factors are: a) People who do not know the existence of Ma'had 'Aly; b) Professional human resources; c) Very cheap tuition fees; d) Sudden activity; e) Inadequate facilities; f) High operational costs; and g) Insufficient number of classes.
