Abstract

A study of factors related to the study of students is considered very important in order to know the relationship of these factors to learning outcomes. Among the factors that theoretically related to the learning outcomes are factors of learning motivation and discipline. With this background, this study takes three problems, that are: how the relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education at SMK Diponegoro Majenang?; how the relationship between the discipline to learning outcomes Islamic Religious Education at SMK Diponegoro Majenang?; and how the relationship between learning motivation and discipline together with the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education at SMK Diponegoro Majenang? This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive-correlational method, which is a descriptive study aimed to determine the relationship between variables. Data were collected by questionnaire, test, and documentation study. Data analysis used simple correlation and multiple correlation. The results of this research concluded: First, the motivation of learners associated with a very high learning outcomes of students on the subjects of Islamic Education. This is evidenced by correlation test which resulted in a correlation coefficient of 0.796 or very high correlation. This result also proves the truth of the hypothesis first proposed, namely: "There is a positive relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes of Islamic education. The higher the motivation to learn, the higher the learning outcomes of Islamic education learners”. Second, discipline learners correlated very highly with student learning outcomes in subjects of Islamic Education. This conclusion is derived based on the correlation that produces a correlation coefficient of 0.815 or very high correlation. This proves the truth of the second hypothesis put forward: "There is a positive relationship between the discipline to learning outcomes Islamic education. The better discipline learners, then it will be better the learning outcomes of students of Islamic education". Third, variable of motivation to learn together with discipline variables also correlated very highly with student learning outcomes in subjects of Islamic Education. This is evidenced by the double correlation test that produces multiple correlation coefficient of 0.82 or very high correlation. The second variable, the variable of learning motivation and discipline variables simultaneously contribute approximately 67.3% of the study of students in the subject of Islamic Education.
