Optimalisasi Kecerdasan Emosional (EQ) dan Kecerdasan Spiritual (SQ) Siswa Sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Kualitas Diri dalam Proses Pembelajaran di MAN Majenang Tahun 2016/2017

Abstract

Education is a human effort to humanize humans. To humanize human beings as well as to manifest qualified and ideal human beings, educational institutions should pay attention to aspects of spiritual intelligence in addition to intelligence intelligence and emotional intelligence. Therefore, every individual has a spiritual potential that can be developed from childhood until he grew up. Students in the educational process position is as a human learner, that is from the purpose of learning that students can change their lives become more qualified both in terms of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. And at the end of the learning process can be called successful if students are able to change his behavior for the better. That way students should be optimal in actualizing emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence in order to achieve the main goal of education.

This research uses qualitative approach, with descriptive method. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview, documentation study. This study aims to: 1) To know the optimization of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) students to improve the quality of self in the learning process 2) To know the optimization of Spiritual Intelligence (SQ) students to improve the quality of self in the learning process To determine what factors affect students optimizing Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and Spiritual Intelligence (SQ) in an effort to improve the quality of self in the learning process. The results showed that the five components of the emotional intelligence component (EQ), which recognizes the emotions of self, manage emotions, motivate themselves, recognize the feelings of others, and fostering relationships can be implemented by the students MAN MANenang good quality. While the components of spiritual intelligence (SQ) namely, discipline, honesty and obedience to run the religious command that can be optimized well by high quality students MAN is a component of discipline, while the components of honesty and obedience in running the religious command is still lacking. The factors that affect the optimization of emotional intelligence (EQ) and spiritual intelligence (SQ) students as an effort in improving the quality of self in the learning process in MAN Majenang class X, is the background of parents, viewed from the aspect of religious background, attention and affection old. Then from the school rules as well as coaching from Master also influenced, and the last is the influence of the association with peers.
